8/16/22 - Membership Meeting to Amend the Bylaws scheduled for September 19 at 7pm CT.  The Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society (MOMS) Board of Trustees would like to propose minor changes to the MOMS Bylaws, which require Membership approval of the majority present at the meeting. Click here to view the proposed Bylaws amendments noted in red font.  Notice was mailed to members last week. Members can call or email the MOMS office to obtain the Zoom connection details to join the meeting.

Summary of Bylaws Changes:
- Technical and clean-up language
- Correction of AOA/COCA accreditation names
- Members include Osteopathic Physicians (DOs) and Osteopathic Medical Students
- Associate Members (non-voting) includes MDs
- Student Affiliate Members (non-voting) includes pre-med students
- Fiscal Year change to January-December
- Addresses Vacancy of President or President-Elect
- Updates gender language

3/24/22 - MOMS Past President, Dr. Jennifer Kendall, DO, serves as Second Vice President of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and President-Elect of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR)

Thanks to Jennifer Kendall-Thomas, D.O., for serving as the Second Vice President of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).  Dr. Kendall is the Immediate Past President of the Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society (MOMS).  She is President-Elect of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR), as well as serving as a member of the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

She has served the AOA in several roles, including as the Chair of the Council of Interns and Residents and as both the Resident AOA Board Member and the New Physician in Practice AOA Board Member. Dr. Kendall-Thomas has held many positions on AOA bureaus and councils.

Dr. Kendall-Thomas is a graduate of the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMU/COM). She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as an interventional spine fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dually board certified, Dr. Kendall-Thomas holds faculty appointments at DMU/COM and at University of Minnesota. Dr. Kendall-Thomas, a fellow of the AOCPMR, is the M Health Fairview Medical Director for Medical Spine.
