What does the Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society do for me?

Membership Dues

Membership Dues are discounted for Physicians in their 1st year of practice and Physician Residents/Interns.  Discounts are also available to employers that pay their physicians' or Residents' dues. Contact the Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society (MOMS) office for details.

  • Physicians, Regular Dues - $350

  • Osteopathic Medical Students (OMS) enrolled in a College of Osteopathic Medicine - $0

1st Year of Practice status is available to Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who (1) are graduates of AOA-accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine; (2) hold a license in good standing issued by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine; and (3) are in their 1st year of active practice (post residency). ($100)

Physician member status is available to Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who (1) are graduates of AOA-accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine and (2) hold a license in good standing issued by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine. ($350)

Physician Resident/Intern member status is available to graduates of AOA-accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine who are enrolled in AOA-approved or ACGME-approved graduate medical education programs. ($25)

Osteopathic Medical Student (OMS) member status may be granted to students who are currently enrolled in an AOA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine. (free)

Retired/Honorary Physician member status is available to Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who: (1) are graduates of AOA-accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine; (2) hold or previously held a license in good standing issued by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine; (3) have paid any and all required fees and dues to the Society [currently, at least one year of regular dues]; and (4) have retired from the practice of osteopathic medicine. ($25 / $0)

We appreciate your decision to support osteopathic medicine in Minnesota! 

Our membership cycle runs from June 1 through May 31 each year. Starting in January 2024, the dues year will run from January 1 through December 31, 2024.  Dues paid now through March 1 will run through May 31, 2023, then members can pay half-year dues through the end of 2023.  Details will be emailed to members prior to regular renewal period in April-May 2023.

It's time to renew your membership.  You should have received an email with an invoice attached - you can click to pay that invoice online or you can print and send it to our administrative office along with a check.

Didn't receive an email or can't find it?  You can access your invoice online:

1. Log in as a member.
2. Click on the "my profile" button in the green menu bar. 
3. Hover over the grey "my profile" button.
4. Scroll down to and click on "invoices".  Any open invoices you have with us will be listed there.
